5 Exciting Gym Changes at Black Flag You Need to Know About
If you’ve been around the academy recently, you’ve probably noticed a few gym changes at Black Flag. While some of the updates are easy to see, others are happening behind the scenes. Our goal has always been to create the best possible training environment for our students, and we are constantly looking for ways to improve both the facility and the overall experience for everyone who walks through our doors.
One of the most noticeable changes is the new landscaping outside the gym. The patch of grass along the side of the building has been replaced with decorative rock, giving the property a cleaner appearance while reducing maintenance. It may seem like a small change, but improvements like these help keep the academy looking professional and welcoming for both current members and first-time visitors.
We also want to thank everyone for their patience while the work was being completed. Construction projects always create a little extra dirt, dust, and inconvenience, and we appreciate everyone who continued to support the gym while the improvements were underway. The understanding and cooperation from our members helped make the process much smoother.
Inside the gym, we continue to invest in cleanliness and facility upkeep. Anyone who trains regularly knows that keeping a grappling academy clean is a never-ending process. We are constantly upgrading and improving our cleaning equipment to ensure the mats, training areas, and common spaces remain as clean as possible. Maintaining a safe and sanitary environment is one of our top priorities, and we will continue investing in the tools needed to support that goal.

Another recent update involves our membership options. We have introduced new special offers designed to make it easier for new students and families to get started with Jiu-Jitsu. For adults and teens, we are now offering three months of membership, three months of training, a gi, belt, and complete no-gi set for $450. For kids and pre-teens, families can receive three months of membership, three months of training, a gi, belt, and complete no-gi set for $400.
These packages are designed to simplify the onboarding process and give new students everything they need to begin training without having to worry about purchasing equipment separately. Whether someone is interested in fitness, self-defense, competition, or simply trying something new, these packages provide an easy way to get started.
The most important thing to understand about these gym changes at Black Flag is that they are part of a larger commitment to continual improvement. We are always looking for ways to make the academy better, whether that means improving the property, upgrading equipment, expanding programs, or creating better opportunities for our students.
The growth of Black Flag has only been possible because of the support of our members, families, coaches, and community. Every improvement we make is done with the goal of creating a better experience for the people who train here.
Thank you again to everyone who has supported the academy and worked with us during these recent updates. We are excited about the future and look forward to continuing to improve Black Flag for years to come.
