PSF Takes the Win at Squad Scraps Team Tournament

This past weekend, Squad Scraps hosted an exciting 6-team jiu-jitsu tournament, putting $500 and bragging rights on the line. The format was fast-paced, team-based, and brought together top talent from around the region to see who could scrap the hardest and take home the prize.

We’re proud to announce that Pedigo Submission Fighting (PSF) walked away with the team trophy and the $500 cash prize, proving once again that the PSF squad brings relentless pace, grit, and teamwork to every event they show up to.

Black Flag’s Own Jeff Larsen Joins the PSF Lineup

Representing both Black Flag Jiu-Jitsu and PSF, Jeff Larsen, competed alongside his teammates and brought intensity and composure to each of his matches. Jeff got the call to compete on the Thursday before, woke up early Friday Morning to drive to Chicago to make the train down to Mt. Vernon to join the team. From there the team traveled to St. Louis to compete. Jeff continues to grow into one of the most active and technical competitors in the room, and it was awesome to see him out there putting it on the line for the team.

Meet the PSF Squad Scraps IV Team

In addition to Jeff, the PSF Squad Scraps IV lineup included:

  • Dayton Hall
  • Jason Shaw
  • Matt Mick

Each athlete contributed key victories, and the team’s energy never wavered throughout the event. The chemistry and trust built from daily training at PSF were clearly on display.

The team was led by coaches Kody Lane and Kyle Overman, who steered the squad through strategy, mindset, and mat-side adjustments. Their leadership helped keep the athletes focused and dialed in through every round.

This wasn’t just about collecting another trophy. It was about continuing to show why PSF remains one of the most respected teams in the sport. From black belts to blue belts, from the coaches to the crowd, this event captured the essence of what it means to compete as a team.

Congrats to everyone who represented and supported. Black Flag is proud to stand alongside the PSF family as we continue building momentum this competition season.
