ROCKFORD – Black Flag Jiu-Jitsu is hosting another huge seminar, this time with two athletes that are up-and-coming stars in the Jiu-Jitsu scene.
Black Flag Jiu-Jitsu is honored to announce “Wrestling for BJJ Seminar” featuring the return of Michael Pixley, and with him comes Brandon Reed, an IBJJF No-Gi World Champion.
Michael Pixley is an NCAA and NAIA National Champion in Wrestling and has also made a name for himself in the ADCC by winning ADCC Trails. Pixley is a Brown Belt under Heath Pedigo and a member of team Daisy Fresh out of Mt. Vernon, Illinois. His wrestling has won him some very high level matches, none greater than his underdog win against BJJ Black Belt Nicholas Maregali at the 2024 ADCC World Championships.
Brandon Reed is a Brown Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, an IBJJF No-Gi World Champion, and a National Champion in Collegiate Wrestling. He comes to Rockford being apart of team Daisy Fresh for the Craig Jones Invitational 2. Reed has crazy strength and has a lot of knowledge about the game of wrestling, and we cannot wait for him to show us some of his work.
The Wrestling for BJJ Seminar will run August 23-24 both days starting at 11AM. August 23rd will be No-Gi Jiu-Jitsu focused and August 24th will be Freestyle Wrestling focused.
The seminar will take place at 21 Airport Dr. Rockford, IL. The cost for the Wrestling for BJJ Seminar will be $150 for both days or $100 for one day.
Pixley and Reed are two awesome human beings and competitors, lets show them a warm welcome back to Rockford!
