First Ever Arch City Invitational: Black Flag Athlete Wins Big
Black Flag Jiu-Jitsu competitor Jeff Larsen continues to build momentum in his competition career after earning a major victory at the Arch City Invitational in St. Louis. Stepping into his first-ever purple belt superfight, Jeff delivered an impressive performance to secure the win and add another milestone to an already outstanding year of competition.
Superfights are different from traditional tournament brackets. Instead of working through multiple opponents, athletes are matched against a single opponent in a featured contest. That means there is no opportunity to settle into the event or recover from an early mistake. Every second matters, and competitors must be ready from the opening exchange. Jeff embraced that challenge and showcased the technical, aggressive style that has become a trademark of his game.
Winning your first purple belt superfight is an important accomplishment. The jump to purple belt brings a higher level of technical ability and experience, making every match more competitive. Jeff remained composed throughout the contest, trusted his training, and executed when it mattered most to earn the victory.
Jeff has become one of the most active competitors representing Black Flag Jiu-Jitsu and Pedigo Submission Fighting. Over the past year, he has consistently challenged himself against high-level opponents at IBJJF tournaments, superfights, and major grappling events. Each competition provides another opportunity to improve, and his willingness to test himself continues to pay off.
